Peloton Liverpool Cooperative
16 February - 18 February 2022
Peloton Liverpool Cooperative is offering visitors to the gallery free bike repairs and bike maintenance lessons and in preparation for a guided bike ride each day.
Bikiosk Mobile Workshop: Mann Island atrium space (outside Open Eye Gallery)
To encourage members of the public to get back on their bikes, the Peloton Bikiosk mobile workshop will be stationed outside the gallery to make sure your bikes are safe and roadworthy to ride again after winter storage. The mobile workshop, delivered by adapted cargo bike, also acts as a point of discussion about what can feasibly be delivered by bike, both services and stuff.
They will also offer advice and guidance about how to get the most out of your bike and the importance of basic regular maintenance to avoid costly repairs and promote longevity of the bike.
Two qualified mechanics and support staff will be on site as well as the fully equipped mobile workshop, offering replacement of basic parts including: cables, brakes and inner tubes.
No need to book, drop in 11am – 2pm
Maintenance Lessons: Inside Open Eye Gallery
A workshop of small interventions which can prevent big problems down the road and an opportunity to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of your bicycle.
The lesson will cover: safety check, brakes, gears, ergonomics, post ride clean.
