DIGITAL WINDOW GALLERY: TRANSFORMATIVE MOMENTS – STEPHANIE WYNNE
1 April - 7 July 2019
Digital Window Gallery Exhibition
As their contribution to mark the crucial moment when some women achieved the vote in 1918, photographer Stephanie Wynne and a women’s group from Wirral Change have created ‘Transformative Moments’. From a year of research and discussion Stephanie Wynne has interpreted through photographs the critical personal moments of change in each of the women’s lives; to mirror that pivotal national moment on 21st November 1918. The women have collaborated with concepts and ideas to illustrate life altering moments or decisions for change.
The full exhibition will be shown at the Williamson Gallery and Museum, Birkenhead from the 15 June to 26 July 2019 and will represent the second time both the photographer and women have come together to co-produce a new body of work.
This project is a co-commission by Open Eye Gallery & the Williamson Art Gallery and thanks goes to our partners Wirral Change and supporters Eleanor Rathbone Foundation.
