Kathy Anne Lim is our Open Source #12 artist with her series, Where Salt Meets the Ice
To shoot Where Salt Meets The Ice, Kathy Lim went to Iceland. The project, which can be described as escapist, explores boundaries, borders and meeting places. These boundaries can exist between spaces and photographs: overlapping borders, flaws and frames; or they can be within the frame: rivers, caves and secret spaces.
Lim’s series questions how much our sense of belonging drives us.
Open Source is part of our responsive programme, offering our on and offline resources for others to use. There is no theme and no limit to number of submissions, but we encourage projects that engage with themes explored in our exhibitions. The aim of the platform is to make lesser-known artists more visible.
