Open Call: Manchester Gardens by Manchester Photography Collective x Open Eye Gallery

Manchester Photography Collective is inviting members to submit photo-stories for a collaborative showcase with Open Eye Gallery as part of their summer exhibition programme.

Selected work will be displayed on the Open Eye Gallery Digital Window Gallery alongside the summer exhibition ‘Is This A Garden?‘.

We are looking for thoughtful and visually engaging photo-stories exploring people’s relationships with gardens and green spaces. This could include community gardens, allotments, parks, balcony or backyard gardens, wellbeing, environmental action, or the people and communities shaping urban green spaces.

Submit your work

Submission guidelines:

• Submit a photo-story of 2–4 images
• Upload a maximum of 5 JPEG (.jpg) images
• Maximum file size: 20MB per image
• File naming format:  Firstname_Surname_ImageTitle01.jpg

Please ensure your work is created ethically and respectfully.

Do not submit:

• Intrusive images of identifiable individuals without consent
• Exploitative images of vulnerable people
• Images of children or individuals with disabilities without written consent
• Images taken on private property without permission

Please upload any relevant consent/model release forms with your submission.

Exhibition Dates: 12–26 July, 2026
