National Lottery Open Week will be back from 7 – 15 March 2026. To say thank you for the £32 million raised for Good Causes every week by players, Open Eye Gallery is offering a 10% discount in the bookshop.
During the Open Week, visitors who present a valid online or retail National Lottery ticket, Scratchcard, or Instant Win Game will be entitled to a 10% discount on all items available in Open Eye Gallery’s independent bookshop. This includes film rolls, cameras, and various other goodies.
The independent bookshop at Open Eye Gallery offers a curated selection of contemporary photographic works, independent publications, and creative tools for all ages. As the only dedicated contemporary photographic gallery in the region, we are committed to supporting both established and emerging local artists.
Our collection includes everything from contemporary photography to theory books, as well as experimental works from independent publishers such as MACK and Fistful of Books. We also have a special section dedicated to local interest, showcasing the work of Liverpool-based image-makers. For younger visitors, the shop offers creative gifts, including books and unique analogue cameras, along with a variety of films and accessories for photography enthusiasts. Our shop is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
Sarah Fisher, Open Eye Gallery director, said: Open Eye Gallery is proud to be part of The National Lottery Open Week this year. The National Lottery has enabled new communities to share their stories through photography, celebrating trees and their place in our communities, through TreeStory Wigan project. Our sincere thanks to everyone who has bought a National Lottery ticket, making a vital contribution to good causes and in turn, supporting us. We’re looking forward to welcoming players to Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool during Open Week!
Thanks to National Lottery player support, more than 690,000 projects have received National Lottery funding. Collectively, players raise £30 million every week to distribute to good causes all over the UK.
