Photography Workshop: Bootle

Join us for a walking photography workshop in Bootle! The workshop will introduce different approaches to architectural photography, using a range of techniques. Assistance with your cameras/devices/phones will be provided. The workshop is open to all levels, age and backgrounds. Equipment not supplied (please bring a camera or phone).
The workshop will be led by Katherine Monaghan . Katherine Monaghan is a Liverpool based photographer
I am a photographic artist, facilitator and teacher. I have focused my work around community groups; trying to help raise awareness of the importance of community, giving a platform to unheard voices and sharing the multitude of human stories. I believe having an awareness of different paths of life is essential for a strong society in order for different groups to build ties and understand one another.
The route includes the brutalist architecture of the strand and old listed buildings, passing along the canal, the industrial warehouse buildings at the docks and ferry port, and some traditional and modern architecture in residential areas. The early evening walk (the golden hour.) will provide best light and shadows for photography.
Please meet 15 minutes before the workshop is due to start.
Please note the workshop route is not fixed, and is subject to change depending on weather and participant numbers. The end location may be different to the start location. The photography lead and LAF volunteers will be available to guide participants back to the starting location if needed.
