FIRE IT UP FUND FUNDEES ANNOUNCED
Join us on the evening of the 13th June to meet the talented young recipients of the Fire it Up Fund!
The Fire It Up Fund has been created to help young people break into the creative industries and is the legacy of the one and only, Ant Clausen. Inspired by his journey into photography, his passion and his fierce determination, the Fund has been set up to offer investment, mentoring and opportunity for 16-25 year olds who want to kick start a career in photography or filmmaking but whom might not have the cash, contacts or experience to do it on their own.
Open Eye Gallery are the main partner in the fund – seeking out mentorship opportunities and providing guidance and support to recipients, alongside official supporters ACC Liverpool Group and Bold Street Coffee. More information about the Fund and application at fireitupfund.com.
Sarah Fisher, Director at Open Eye Gallery said:
‘Everyone involved in setting up this Fund has been inspired by the way that Ant led his life and built his career. Our ambition is not to just provide financial support to people, but to create a relationship between our partners and the award winners that is fun, straightforward and full of energy.
I think that the chance to help young people get their foot into the creative industries should be because of their talent not because of who they know or where they studied is a very powerful thing and one that we are hugely proud to be partners in.’
