Ode To Our Space @ Digital Window Gallery

29 September - 23 December 2023

What represents you? What makes you feel a sense of belonging to the space you’re in?

Ode to Our Space is a volunteer led exhibition, put together and featuring work by some of the volunteers at Open Eye Gallery. The digital exhibition celebrates the people behind the community, highlighting what represents us as individuals and showcasing our art in the space we share.

Here’s what the volunteers say about the show:

Freya Atherton: “Curating the Ode to Our Space digital exhibition alongside my fellow volunteers Aditi and Lauren has given me a great opportunity to help further my interest in curation and be involved in creating an exhibition for Open Eye Gallery, a gallery who’s community I enjoy being a part of.”

Lauren Black: “Collaborating on this project has been fulfilling, and crafting a visual identity to showcase our volunteers’ incredible work has truly been a pleasure.”

Aditi Shah: “Curating this exhibition was really interesting and educational – it was amazing to see the amount of talent present amongst us volunteers. During discussions with Lauren and Freya, it was fascinating to see how differently we perceive the same work – it was a pleasure to work with them!”

Volunteers participating in the show:

  • Amy Sanderson
  • Daniel Bellis
  • Evelynne Rogers
  • Freya Atherton
  • Jennifer Graley
  • Pak Hung Chan
  • Emmarae Chambers
  • Emily Armstrong
