Open Eye Gallery and Waterside are delighted to present the First Light photography project celebrating work by photography graduates from the north of England.
In 2020, final year students have had to forgo the experience of the degree show – the crowning event after three years of study. This exhibition, hosted by Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces, features 13 emerging photographers that together reflect the richness and diversity of photography as an artistic medium in the 21st century.
The project aims to respond positively to this challenging landscape for new graduates in the region and continue its commitment to emerging photographic talent.
The exhibition runs Thursday – Sunday, 10am -4pm from 22nd May 2021 – 4th July 2021. You don’t need a ticket, just walk up. Capacity will be limited for your safety so there could be a short wait.
