CULTURE SHIFTS

Culture Shifts is Open Eye Gallery’s socially engaged photography programme.

Culture Shifts is based around embedding 11 national and international photographers within the daily lives of communities across Liverpool City Region. It aims to support communities to explore their stories in a way that is meaningful to them.

Collaborating with photographers, communities will co-author a series of photo stories, reflecting on their identity, interests or lives. Collectively we hope these photo stories will inspire, surprise or challenge a wider audience through both a digital platform and 8 exhibitions across 7 venues.

A digital platform accompanies this project. PhotoStories is free and open to all: everyone is welcome to share sequences of photos that tell the story of a place, person or community. Get involved at www.photostories.org.uk/.
