Taking Root Bootle – Growing on the Streets: Involving local residents In greening up public spaces

This workshop explores two successful growing projects delivered by Taking Root in Bootle. The first is ‘the community growing circle’ which engaged over 90 households to grow vegetables in their front yard. The second is ‘Bootle in Bloom’ which uses the RHS in Bloom competition to encourage food and flower growing in our local area. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about Taking Root, listen to our experiences of starting and running neighbourhood greening projects and to ask any questions. You may even be inspired to start your own community project!
