Read Now Write Now: Climate Champions Reading Event
THURSDAY 17 MARCH / 6-7:30PM / BOOK HERE
Charlie Lea from literary arts organisation Read Now Write Now will deliver two separate blended writing courses on the theme of climate change, one for adults and one for young people, guiding participants to write a short inspirational story on this most critical topic.
Using photographs of places showing the causes and effects of climate change to inspire, Charlie will, firstly, show participants how to not only portray these places in writing but also how to express their emotions and evoke similar feelings from readers of their stories.
Following on, participants will also discuss how they, and others, can take real life action and find positive solutions to tackle climate change before writing their own story which can then be exhibited within the gallery and performed at a special event in front of an audience.
