Video: Ying Kwok, Curator
“Photography captures a moment in history, a particular second in time. We are living in a time that is informed by our past. A place is formed not with one story, but a collective story of each individual which offers multiple interpretations.” – Ying Kwok, 2017.
Ying Kwok is the curator of LOOK/17 Liverpool International Photography Festival. She works across Hong Kong and the UK.
Between 2006 and 2012, she was the curator of the CFCCA (Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art) in Manchester. This year, she curated the Hong Kong pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
Culture Shifts: Global explores how our cities are changing worldwide, looking at parallels between Liverpool and Hong Kong. The exhibition runs until the 18th June.
