Who We Are
22 June - 26 June 2017
In collaboration with Hugh Baird University Centre, we present Who We Are. This short-run exhibition features work from graduates in the centre’s BA Digital Imaging and Photography course.
Identity, Self and the everyday are themes that play out daily in our lives. Confronting these issues within contemporary visual arts often raises more questions than answers. Photography can create opportunities to explore these themes through directed conversations and narratives, engaging viewers to explore meanings and create their own distinct interpretations.
Hugh Baird University Centre’s practice-based course attracts students from diverse social, cultural and educational backgrounds with its key focus on developing individual learning journeys, using photography to mirror and shape their viewpoint. This exhibition continues to mark a reference point for these emerging photographers who are beginning a long voyage of intentions, accidents and discovery.
