Peloton: Late Night Joy Ride
FRIDAY 18 FEBRUARY / 6:30–7:30PM / BOOK HERE
We’ll be offering visitors to the gallery a free bike service in preparation for a guided “Joy ride” to be led each day.
Mobile workshop
Our Bikiosk mobile workshop will be stationed outside the gallery, 11am-2pm on 16th, 17th and 18th of February and will encourage members of the public to get back on their bikes by making sure bikes are safe and road worthy to ride again after winter storage.
The mobile workshop, delivered by adapted cargo bike, also acts as a point of discussion about what can feasibly be delivered by bike, both services and stuff.
We’ll also offer advice and guidance about how to get the most out of your bike and the importance of basic regular maintenance to avoid costly repairs and promote longevity of the bike. We also use this opportunity to sign post bike rides and clubs to suit all requirements.
We provide 2 qualified mechanics and support staff, fully equipped mobile workshop and replacement basic parts Including: cables, brakes, Inner tubes.
Joy Ride
Joy ride Is part confidence building bike ride, part exploration of the city and its cultural fabric, offering Insights into its points of celebration and struggles. We do this through engaging with It’s architecture, Its people and those who are working to address Its social and structural Issues.
We will offer 2 rides/day, 12pm and 1:30pm. The rides will be 30/45 minutes long, approximately 2-4 miles and will have accompanying sound track. Bikes and safety equipment will be provided.
We will also use the gallery as a meeting point for our bi-monthly night ride on Friday at 6:30pm.
