New Eyes On Photography @ Open Eye Gallery’s Digital Window Gallery
21 November - 9 December 2022
In response to our current international exhibition 2022 Sony World Photography Awards, students from North West photography courses present their use of images as a way to explore, relate, and understand the world around them. Each photographer has connected their work to one of the thematic categories that make up the Sony competition: Architecture & Design, Creative, Documentary Projects, Environment, Landscape, Portfolio, Portraiture, Sport, Still Life, Wildlife & Nature.
From the Digital Window Gallery, the students’ works join the 2022 Sony World Photography Awards in an exploration of the power and diversity of the medium of photography. The result is two exhibitions speaking to each other across the gallery building. A conversation between present and future voices: from the 2022 world winners to the next generation of local photographers.
Images: from Wigan and Leigh College, Carmel College, City of Liverpool College University and The Manchester College.
