SATURDAY 12 MARCH / 1–3PM / BOOK HERE
Come along for a panel and networking event to meet the Liverpool Food Growers Network and explore how we can make Liverpool a resilient, fair and sustainable food city by bringing food production back into our urban landscapes. We will be discussing the environmental, social, and physical & mental health benefits of urban food growing with reference to the many exciting food growing projects that are happening across the Liverpool City Region. We will also talk about how food growing can be scaled up across the Liverpool City Region and the role of the Liverpool Food Growers Network in facilitating this. Our panel includes a range of interesting and diverse speakers including Dr Charlotte Hardman from the University of Liverpool, and representatives from the local food growing community. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to ask questions, informally network, and meet other people interested in community food growing within the Liverpool City Region.
