DIGITAL WINDOW GALLERY: Grow Your Own

During the summer of 2021, Faiths4Change teamed up with Linda McCartney’s to create a beautiful new community growing space at St Michael in the City Church as part of the Grow Your Own with Linda initiative. The project is providing access to outside space and opportunities for food growing in urban areas. 16-30 year olds were invited to get involved with developing and building the garden and food growing.
Photographer Andy Yates partnered with Young Roots and provided disposable cameras for the participants to document the process and share their experience of getting involved in community gardening.
Grow Your Own highlights the importance community garden spaces can have on local residents, the new skills that can be learned and how easy it is to grow your own food.
