We are welcoming back Rebecca Goss and Chris Routledge to launch their collaborative project eight years in the making. Published by Guillemot Press, Carousel is a series of intimate responses between Routledge’s photographs and Goss’ poetry, which explores the relationship between the viewer and the viewed.

There will also be readings by guest poet, Amy McCauley.

Rebecca Goss has published two collections, The Anatomy of Structures(Flambard Press, 2010) and the Forward Prize short-listed Her Birth(Carcanet, 2013). In 2019, her third collection, Girl, will be published, also by Carcanet.

Chris Routledge is a writer and photographer whose books include Cains: The Story of Liverpool in a Pint (Liverpool University Press, 2008) and two edited collections, Mystery in Children’s Literature (Palgrave, 2001) and Key Ideas in Linguistics and the Philosophy of Language (Edinburgh University Press, 2009).

Amy McCauley works as Editor of Creative Response for MAI: Journal of Feminism and Visual Culture. She has delivered workshops, lectures and seminars for Aberystwyth University, Edge Hill University, The Northern Lights Writers’ Conference, Nottingham Trent University and Wordpool Festival.

Carousel has been printed on Naturalis and Fedrigoni papers, section sewn and released in a limited edition of 200.

Light refreshments will be provided.
