LOOK 摄影双年展 2019 — OPEN EYE GALLERY

LOOK 摄影双年展 2019 专注于与中国的艺术交流,使用不同的摄影方式来开启国际对话。 

由Open Eye Gallery联合举办的展览会在利物浦,英国西北地区和上海上演,旨在将不同的文化融合并进行对话。在利物浦的主要部分将于10月17日开始,并在Open Eye Gallery和全市各个公私场馆或空间中免费开放。

LOOK 摄影双年展 2019着眼于反思不断变化的全球身份,全球环境问题以及探讨我们如何使用图像进行有效沟通:跨界,跨技术和跨文化。在第一章:移植(TRANSPLANT)之后,第二章以及更多的扩展基于两个方面:翻译 (TRANSLATE) 和 过渡 (TRANSITION)。

LOOK Photo Biennial 2019 的核心项目是Peer to Peer,将呈现14位国际新锐摄影艺术家的作品,由14位中、英文化艺术领域专业人士提名选出,并与Serein Liu共同策展。在利物浦,它将会在Open Eye Gallery和圣乔治大厅的地下室展出。该展览还将于2020年在上海摄影中心展出。这些展览将会使艺术家们获得更多国际认可。

被提名选出的英国艺术家包括Anna Ridler,她的AI生成的项目Mosaic Virus and Tulips 基于手工图像数据集,最近在Barbican’s AI: More than Human中展出。 摘录自Forest系列,Yan Wang Preston最近获得的索尼世界摄影奖的获奖作品亦将会展出,并绘制了中国“自然”景观的结构图。 

Maisie Cousins 最初是Tumblr摄影师,她曾入选DAZED 100,她的甜美摄影风格使用日常物体的特写镜头来制作清晰的图像,吸引和排斥强烈地碰撞。

Sian Bonnell(曼彻斯特艺术学院)策展的另一场团体秀将汇聚来自英国和中国的约50名年轻时尚形象毕业生。 JUMP! 将于利物浦画廊举行,展示来自曼彻斯特都会大学,武汉设计工程学院美术馆,中央圣马丁艺术与设计学院和浙江学院的摄影师。

Yan Wang Preston还将在The Tapestry周围的街道展出新的委托作品。 He 是去年的 She Dreams 的后续作品,是根据利物浦日益增长讲普通话的学生群体拍摄的一系列肖像。 与以前的国家范式不同,该群体是面向未来的新一代的一部分,具有新的个人主义和全球公民意识,而不仅限于中国。
