TILT, Open Eye Gallery’s New Zine
TILT is a new quarterly publication from Open Eye Gallery: a place to take a closer (and perhaps slower) look at the images, ideas and people that our exhibitions present. This first issue is limited to 150 numbered editions, available in the gallery shop for £5.
Composed of full-colour photographs and interviews, the first issue offers a deeper reflection on Open 3: Affecting Change, our exhibition of developing photographers in and around Liverpool. Interviews with the artists were conducted by Pauline Rowe, writer-in-residence, and interviews with the organisations were carried out by Dan Warner, Research Curator.
Photography can spotlight, it can celebrate; it can shape our understanding, break stereotypes and force us into new approaches. As a tool, it can be instrumental in accelerating and affecting the way that meaningful change unfolds in our society.
In TILT Issue I, we examine that process.
