Home From Home: Ukrainian curators and photographers join UK poets to talk about home in a film

Open Eye Gallery has partnered with Hurricane Films to produce a short film highlighting different perspectives on the importance of home, in collaboration with EuroFestival and Open Eye Gallery’s Home programme. In this film Home From Home, Ukrainian curators and photographers join UK poets to talk about home and what it means to them. Interviews with Ukrainian citizens, photographers and curators are layered with lyric responses by UK poets and an interview with Sarah Fisher, Executive Director of Open Eye Gallery, to create an overarching sense of the power of art to express various perspectives on the importance of home.

Filmed in both Ukraine and Liverpool. Produced by Hurricane Films and Arthouse Traffic Films. A Hurricane Films production in association with Twenty One Media (Edge Hill University). Copyright Hurricane Films 2023.
